Edo Nagashibina
It is an event to welcome the arrival of spring by floating paper dolls near Shinsui Terrace of Azumabashi Bridge on the Sumida River, wishing safety and good health of children. Floating paper dolls will start at around 12 noon, and some other events are scheduled.

流し雛 – Nagashi-Bina
Nagashi-bina is an event that involves dispelling impurities and misfortunes by floating dolls away on water. In earlier days this took place all over Japan, but the practice has died out in most areas.

子供の無病息災をひな人形に託し、川に流す「流しびな」は春の訪れを告げる隅田川の風物行事として行われます。
